updatin from 3.18.0 to latest version failed

I tried to upgrade from 3.18.0 to latest version, now I am getting this error

Update failed​

The update process failed. Here is the error returned:

SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 1709 Index column size too large. The maximum column size is 767 bytes

If you update from an older version update your MyISAM tables to InnoDB table storage engine and try again.

If you have altered your database you will need to manually perform this update.

what should I do?
