update from 3.18 to 3.20.9 - the database seems to have remained in revision 3.18

Hello,
Before the upgrade: Chevereto 3.18; PHP 7.3; MySQL 5.6.41
After the update to 3.20.9 : total blockage with this screen:
ima missing imagick.jpg
I added to the app/settings.php file the following two lines:
$settings['image_library'] = 'gd';
$settings['image_formats_available'] = ['PNG', 'GIF', 'JPG', 'BMP'];
and ... I realize that the requirements are not met:
So, I update from PHP 7.3 to 7.4 and MySQL from 5.6 to 5.7
Result: The site is accessible but impossible to upload an image:
No image have been uploaded
Some errors have occured and the system couldn't process your request.

Current status:
MySQL 5.7.32; PHP 7.4.20; GD 2.5.2 (2.1.0 compatible); imagick 3.4.4;

Clicking on "update tool" or "install update" returns to /install with HTTP ERROR 500.

Dear user, kindly note that this situation isn't odd by any means. This is exactly what we expect when something wrong goes on.

What is needed to do now is to debug to determine what's exactly the malfunction affecting your system so we can quickly assists you further. Note that you will require to understand our error reporting and follow our debug guide.

Is this something you feel comfortable doing by yourself? If so, let us know your findings.

No. You posted an access log, we need an error log and precisely a log covering your initial report.

At this point I get an idea of what could be the problem, likely you need to go to /install and continue the update. If you are lucky it will be easy as that.

When I launched https://funk-o-logy.com/ima/install , I only got a blank screen with HTTP ERROR 500.
and surprise! now I get a display !
