Too many sess_files?

Hi
What might be causing my temp folder to fill up with files like "sess_*".
There are so many files (almost 3 million) that the LiteSpeed has crashed, my SSD is full and it's difficult to even list the files.

root@web:/tmp# rm sess_*
-bash: /bin/rm: Argument list too long

They seem to be related to chevereto..



for example:
root@web:/tmp# cat sess_6keepq48bnvteir24c29imhq46
G_auth_token|s:40:"3ac3e874f545edd318b14125623b6df1a56eae9a";last_url|s:71:"https://img.mysite.host/explore/trending/?page=6&seek=698.fNGti&lang=vi";is_mobile_device|b:0;REQUEST_REFERER|s:71:"https://img.mysite.host/explore/trending/?page=6&seek=698.fNGti&lang=vi"

I am going to remove all these files, but I would like to avoid this happening again.
Any ideas?

They seem to be related to chevereto..

Chevereto uses PHP sessions, but it doesn't affect your server in the way these sessions are handled.
