Difficult to know where to put this question. Perhaps it is time to create a specific v4 forum.

I would like to test v4 before going live on my domain. Would it be possible to clone my existing domain into a subdomain, for example test.mydomain.com, and then perform the upgrade on the test sub domain? Obviously I would have to copy the database and modify the paths in the migration of the clone to the test subdomain.

Hello,

Upgrades from V3 are still not available, V4 is currently under beta for testing, not production. Once we ship production ready releases (no "beta" in name) we will label it as safe to upgrade from V3.
