Dear Rodolfo,

Chevereto script, really incredible. He developed a lot of years. Unbeatable ... Each updating, fixing errors, innovation brings, developing properties. A unique person.

The only feature that is missing on Chevereto system, sitemap / sitemap.xml ...

I hope to update you remove the map update Chevereto unique site. Hundreds of thousands of images of unannounced google ... 🙁 endless pictures by adding sitemap.xml link, we want to share with the search engines. Hopefully next time, you're encoding system is integrated into a sitemap.

I would like to hear your thoughts on the Chevereto sitemap.

Sitemap will be added for sure, I don't know when but I will do my best to include it before 4.X.

Rodolfo, thank you very much for reply. This is very good news. A great script, the only thing missing is the sitemap. 4.x. I am waiting with great curiosity in the release.

Take care of yourself. You're the creator of this system...

I'd like this but with settings/options to not include images due to sitemap limit I'd only include core pages (maybe albums though), like a checklist of what to include ect.

Yes, I'm aware it's like 50,000 URLs but still.

for now you could do one (although manual):

I haven't used these so can't comment.

Site maps are overrated for non-content rich sites. We're not content rich sites.

I have to agree with this. According to G Webmaster, all but 40 of my public images are indexed, so I'm not going to complain about that. As long as you tell the search engine about your site, it will keep crawling it.

If you decide to add a million images yourself all at once, which I'm not sure why anyone would do, you can always tell Google to go and crawl it again from their control panel, and it will index them.

Sitemaps are great for pages that link to pages that link to content, that link back to images, that link back to chatter, that link to blog posts etc etc etc. Basically sites, that have multilevel structures with internal links all over the place. The sitemap is just the spiders "guide to your site".

CHV is just a huge DB of images. Google isn't stupid lol

There is misunderstanding on what sitrmaps are for Google and most people think that having a sistemap will get all your content crawled.

Sitemaps are a must for websites that turns to be hard to craw which is not the case of Chevereto. Chevereto demo has a index rate of 98% which is extremely good and I'm sure that others have similar or better index rate.

The only advantage of using a sitemap is that you tell Google what to crawl so the bot spends less time trying to figure out how to craw your website, but Google does that process anyway so it actually doesn't matter for Chevereto.

Those who have issues getting their website crawled is because for Google your website is not relevant and that won't change with a sitemap.
