Select all in v2.0 input fields

Hello,

I just used demo site and i found out that when you upload the image:
http://www.urimage.net/?v=untitledmsm.png

.... when you click in the field for the url, it doesn't select full web url like it did in previous version.

Why is this?

By default the select all in input fields has been disabled since 2.0

Is there a specific reason for this?

It feels like mandatory to select all text by default. The target user may just want a part of it and if he wants the whole text he just do ctrl+a
