How to set the website search for singular and plural words?

For example: some pictures have a title as "Cats" and some have "Cat"

If you are looking for on website word "Cats" search shows all images with a "Cats" excluding singular words "Cat".

The system uses the built in mysql fulltext search so there isn't any fancy plural handling or anything.
