[Request] Animated GIF as Profil Picture

Greetings,

Im happy with my chevereto so far. Just some little things which could be better, but thats another topic.

Just wanted to know, is it possible to get animated GIFs as Profile picture? Is it easy to-do it self with some config edits?
 
Avatars are made to be small, and on upload the system compress those. Using GIFs could be bad in most cases, here's the function that does the thing:
