Remove "Popular" from Explore menu

With "Likes" disabled I get a Internal Server error when accessing "Popular" in the Explore menu as mentioned in this post here:

That topic mentions a "patch" presumably to remove "Popular" from the Explore menu? Could you tell me what code changes are needed to do this.

Yes this is a bug which I just patched for v3.9.4 (just seconds ago!). If you can't wait for the patch the manual procedure is quite simple:

Open app/loader.php and change this:

            $explore_semantics = [
                'recent' => [
                    'label' => _s('Recent'),
                    'icon'    => 'icon-ccw',
                ],
                'trending' => [
                    'label' => _s('Trending'),
                    'icon'    => 'icon-fire',
                ],
                'popular' => [
                    'label' => _s('Popular'),
                    'icon'    => 'icon-heart3',
                ],
                'animated' => [
                    'label' => _s('Animated'),
                    'icon'    => 'icon-play4',
                ],
            ];

To this:

            $explore_semantics = [
                'recent' => [
                    'label' => _s('Recent'),
                    'icon'    => 'icon-ccw',
                ],
                'trending' => [
                    'label' => _s('Trending'),
                    'icon'    => 'icon-fire',
                ],
                'popular' => [
                    'label' => _s('Popular'),
                    'icon'    => 'icon-heart3',
                ],
                'animated' => [
                    'label' => _s('Animated'),
                    'icon'    => 'icon-play4',
                ],
            ];
            if(!getSetting('enable_likes')) {
                unset($explore_semantics['popular']);
            }

Like I said, I've just added this fix to v3.9.4 (still not released) so if you want to apply the patch asap you will have to do it on your own or send me FTP access to your website.
