Referrer for Download Button

Hi Everyone,

Is it possible to add a http referrer to the download button?

I am looking to use htaccess to ensure the download button requested originating from my website aren't being redirected by other rules in my htaccess. As it stands now apache see the download as a direct from client IP get request from the best I am able to discern.

Thoughts?

Then it can't be done. System uses html download attribute.

By the way, if you didn't knew the http protocol is very easy to spoff so there's no reliable way to restrict access to that given resource.
