Random - That page doesn't exist

Sometimes, when I click on the "Random" link, I'm getting
That page doesn't exist
The requested page was not found.

I'm guessing it's a deleted image still in the rotation? How can I avoid this problem?
 
It could be caused due to a massive (HUGE) deletion. The system basically does does a min-max fetch and based on those values, it randomizes 10 values. If nothing is found then it will redirect again to /?random.

In which website are you experiencing this?

Their was no major deletion. Maybe .5% deleted. Yet the not found page shows up about 10% of the time. Would clock adjustments messed it up?
