Performance issue on "GET /?ping&r=..."

Hi there,
we are running Chevereto latest release on fresh server and are having issues while browsing throught the webpage (pages, settings, images etc).

From the performance overview the issue is on event of redirection.

"GET /?ping&r="

Usually it takes up to 30 seconds to fully load the selected page/menu.

We are running server on a VM with specifications:
Xeon E5 2 cores
4096MB RAM
Apache2
Ver 15.1 Distrib 5.5.47-MariaDB
PHP v7
 
Hey @host1plus,

The "GET /?ping&r=" is used to ping Chevereto.com for new updates. That said, is odd that such thing doesn't work for you but the only way to identify the issue is by doing some debug.
