Describe your feature request:
At the moment, each image in Chevereto can only belong to a single album. While this works for basic organization, it limits flexibility for users who manage extensive or thematic collections. Being able to include one image in multiple albums would open entirely new ways of using the platform without duplicating files.
For example, a single photograph might belong to both a yearly upload album (“2025 Collection”) and a thematic one (“Street Photography”). Similarly, creators could build curated sets or editorial “boards” by combining images from different albums.
Where did you see this?
This approach mirrors how visual platforms like Flickr and Pinterest handle organization. Rather than treating albums as strict folders, they become associative categories that give users creative and practical control over how content is presented. For people using Chevereto for publishing, archives, or client portfolios, this would make content management far more intuitive.
Community interest:
Multi-album association enables more meaningful navigation and provides both uploaders and users with a cleaner way to connect related images. This feature would also lay the groundwork for future concepts, such as collections, favorite lists, or curated showcases, which in turn would make Chevereto a more competitive modern image platform.
