Memcached Question

I don't think that it will work with Memcached as-is. As far as I know you need the php lib to work with memcached and you need to store and retrieve data, so that should be done manually in Chevereto (there isn't built in support for it).

And if there will be some sort of support of caching system in the future for Chevereto it will be APC for sure.
