Image uploads and deletes from external storage but only displays image not found

I recently linked my chevereto server to my external storage on a nas system via SFTP. the external storage works fine uploading the images to the server and deleting them but i cant get the image itself to display any ideas

Did you actually mapped the FTP to a web server? You can't just put any URL on the storage form, it must be an URL mapped to the storage, which you setup in the external storage.
