Description of the issue
Hi,

You have installed the software Chevereto for us.

I have found the image search function doesn't work at all. Could you double check the issue, please?

How could I make search work in different languages other than English?

Another issue is the system doesn't send an email at all so users cannot trace their password and admin cannot receive user submitted information either.

Chevereto works with full text searches (mysql) so it is restricted to what your mysql server understands. For support for non-alphanumeric searches you have to install the ngram parser for mysql.
