Hyphens in user names

I know I have raised this subject before. See https://chevereto.com/community/threads/hyphen-in-user-names.11541/
I have been able to work around the issue by creating overrides for the theme and altering the class.settings.php file. Unfortunately the class settings file needs to be altered after every update and I always alter the override files if they have been updated.

My first request is that updates to Chevereto can be performed by only updating files that have been altered since the previous update.

My second request is that a system be provided for a class setting override. I have not been able to find a way of doing this.

Of course the easiest thing to do would simply be to allow hyphens in use names 🙂
