Hi,

My current version is 3.6.3 but i want to update it to 3.6.5, can you please guide me how can i update to newer version. That readme file inside the package didn't help, couldn't understand that. So please guide me through any easy way possible.

You only need to backup if you did some change, then just re-upload everything. Images folder won't get lost because since it already exists your FTP program won't delete and replace it with an empty folder, anyway.. You can skip that folder if you like.

Update from 3.X
  • Backup all your file changes (theme, routes, etc.)
  • Upload all the files and folders from "chevereto"
  • Login to your website (admin user) and then run http://www.mysite.com/install
  • Restore or merge your file changes (only if needed)

Update from 3.X (Arvixe)
The update procedure is exactly the same but unless is explicitly mentioned do not change the root.htaccess file. If somehow you replaced this file make sure to have this line of code at the very top of that file:

AddHandler application/x-httpd-php54 .php54 .php

What about the sql and images i have uploaded. Correct me if i am wrong.
I have to replace all the exisiting files and folders with new package then replace the images folder with my old folder, is that you're saying?

The sql and the images will be still there. When the system is already installed /install what is does is install the update, not the system from scratch. You will get a "Chevereto has been updated" message.
