How to hide image titles and uploaded by

When I scale my browser window to show 4 rows of images, the title and uploaded by goes away.

How can I hide these permanently from the home page? I just want them to show when you click the image?
 
That's because the responsive view hide some elements. You can't avoid that unless you customize the code.
