How to add 336x280 advertisement to left of code on front page

I would like to know how to insert a 336x280 advertisement just to the left of the browser area where you upload your image. Basically what you see on imageshack.us where the rectange ad is on the left and upload area is on the right. I have tried inserting the code but the script keeps putting the box above the browser link and moves everything below it, I am trying to put the box along side the browse/upload content
