This will only monitor how many people visits ur website, not how many hits were on the images (from bbcodes, etc)

I don't think its possible to monitor direct linking of images using google analytics.

Of course, just place it on the footer.php file of your theme.
(or header.php I don't remember what google recommends)

Anyway with this u wont be able to get full statistics, so i don't see a point of google analytics on this software.

Maybe Rodolfo should make something custom

No you can't with google , but u can with cpanel or make simple mod for this.., and also u will need database...!
