Fresh Install with Nginx - The top menu is not working

Hi

I installed a new version (fresh install) but the problem is that I installed Nginx myself on a VPS and it's not a managed hosting or whatever, I tried playing around but I couldn't figure out what the issue is, my website url is

http://expressimg.com/

I can try logging in from the url below

http://expressimg.com/dashboard

but that's pretty much all I can do (Random and explore button work as well), any advise?

Seems that the files in the server are not ok. This happens when there are netowork issues, try to re-upload the system again.
 
I have already tried that several times, the only thing I can possibly think of is this, is there an error in the setting which it ask me to add?

It says that you need to manually create that file with that contents.
 
I already did that but it didn't work :)

Interestingly for some reason I installed jason on the server (apt-get install php5-jason) and that solved the problem, I really don't know how as that was not part of the requirements
