The included config.php file for version 2.1 lacks some of these variables by default, though Chevereto is still searching for them. You can add them manually to config.php, but it looks like the file was uploaded with an old config.php by accident.

I can't set a default db name, db port, db user or db pass. You have to set some variables.
You may always merge the contents of the config.php files when is that stated. As you may notice it says "replace all your files" on the release notes.

More info in the upgrade process can be found here: http://chevereto.com/docs#!upgrade

I wasn't upgrading, I was installing a fresh version of 2.1 on a dev server to test some things out before upgrading my main site. I uploaded the config.php that was included in the 2.1 file originally and it wasn't working.

I redownloaded the 2.1 zip file and it appears that did the trick, the included config.php file that time was correct.
