Facebook third-party admin scam

Hey there,

Few days ago my wife got added to administer an unrelated Facebook page. There was no confirmation required, she was just notified. Thing is that this exposed her to a scam in which a third-party got added as an ad manager (one who can't be removed nor edited as it keeps popping automatically) who ran a campaign with her money.

Basically, once you get added to administer a third-party page, any admin in that scope can trigger ads in your own pages. The situation was reported and Facebook acknowledge the situation but they aren't reversing the charges at this time.

Lucky for her she noticed this the same day, about $70 bucks got stolen this way but could have been way worse. They targeted $1,000 daily limit, like I said... Could have been worse.

At this time everything is blocked, 2FA enabled, etc. If you once use Facebook pages for ads try to remove your payment data asap.
