Description of the issue
Purchased Core license and upgraded today - but
External Storage option not working
Banners area not working
several paid areas not working

This functionality is not part of Chevereto Free. Upgrade to paid version to obtain this feature.
 
Chevereto Free includes an upgrade procedure, just go to /dashboard and click the "upgrade" button.
