hi,

i am interested in chevereto. so i used the demo and have uploaded some pictues. i missed the exif data. is this disabled in the demo, or whats going wrong. my demo account is "geheim".

That is because the exif parser that we use needs strict exif data. Chevereto doesn't alter the original image, it upload it "as is" and after download that picture to my computer I'm not able to see any exif data by going to image properties. Not even using a third party application I'm able to see any exif data for that image.

Take for example this image: http://demo.chevereto.com/image/e0 you get exif data shown and if you download the image you will see that all the data is there.

ok, thats really strange. all photos i have uploaded, have exif data on my computers disk, but after upload there are no exif data. i can give you
an example: http://www.tmx24.de/pixx/ this are the pictures i have uploaded to chevereto, with exif. after the upload there are no exif data. i use
a mac (10.9.4) and tried safari, firefox and chrome.

I think that I've found the issue. Chevereto fix the image orientation so the image display is always fixed, but when it does that it strips the exif data of the original image.

The solution is quite simple, I only need to get the exif info before doing this orientation thing and then fix the orientation. System stores the exif data in database so everything will be there regardless of the original file.

I will add this fix for 3.4.6
