@Rodolfo, i have min. system requirements and I still get 404 error. I have paid for $15 v3. I have key and everything but when clicked on upgrade button I get mydomain.com/installer.php?UpgradeToPaid page and it shows 404 error. please help.

Hi,

Thanks for purchasing.

There are security changes in Chevereto (Chevereto Free 1.5.X) in which the installer.php file won't be available. This is because Chevereto (all editions) now blocks any direct request to .php files. This has been implemented because of security reasons and I haven't updated the upgrade system built-in in Chevereto-Free.

To proceed with the upgrade, try deleting the root .htaccess file. That should enable you to carry the upgrade process using the installer.

If that doesn't work simply download the release and replace all thee files.

Thanks for your response. it worked when I deleted the .httaccess.
though I ran into another issue. Please see the attached image.

If I make a new database, my 3000+ images will be deleted. I don't want to happen that.
please help

Please note that using the Installer for upgrading from Chevereto Free has been deprecated. Here the updated instructions: https://github.com/rodber/chevereto-free/blob/master/UPGRADING.md

For existing installations you have to simply provide the files and the database connection details when asked.
I am not sure If I understood this correctly.
the screenshot I sent was when it asked for the database details. I provided my current db details. than it showed me error saying "db is not empty"
so If I follow this instruction: I will not have to create new db. Correct?

🤑 To upgrade to paid:

  • Purchase a Chevereto License (if you don't have one already 💖)
  • Upload the latest release package to your server (usually in the public_html folder)
  • Unzip the software using your server built-in unzip utility
  • Remove the .zip file
  • Open your website at /install

That "database not empty" is sent by the Installer, because the installer works on new installations. You don't have to use the installer, remove it and follow the new instructions.

That's right. You will get asked to provide the database connection details, but by Chevereto not the Installer. When you provide the database using Chevereto it will connect to the database, it won't destroy anything.
