Not sure where to put this post so it's here until (if) it gets moved.

Tags as they function now does not recognize the difference between capital letters. Meaning that "tag" and "Tag" will become two different tags. Running a multi user site this will most likely generate many many duplicate tags only based on how people use capital or lower case letters. Take for example "Full moon". This could potentially generate at least 3 different tags but have the same meaning, "Full Moon", Full moon" and "full moon".

I think this could be solved by having a tag option to always convert tags to lower case or having the system automatically convert tags into easy urls.

Loving the tag system so far though.

Tags are case-sensitive by design, which allows for precise control and customization at the application layer—exactly what you’re looking for.

On top of that, there’s a need for tag management tools, like the ability to merge tags. This would enable content managers to keep tags organized and ensure they remain meaningful across the platform.
