Domains for frontend and images

Hi,

is it possible to use one domain for the images and another domain for the frontend server?
Meaning the images is stored at my.images.com/hello.jpg and the imagelink and script is running from coolimages.com.
Or must the fileservers always be *.coolimages.com?
