When you delete an image, both image chain and db record gets removed. If you are seeing that grey box is because the image is still on the database.

Chevereto won't remove missing images, instead it will show an empty image icon. When using external storage Chevereto doesn't show this empty icon because is too expensive (network) to ping each image on listings. So, if you use external storage and you remove an image from that storage, you must manually delete the image at Chevereto.

but in my case, i never removed an image from external storage. i just deleted from website itself.

When you delete an image from your website it gets removed from the database and then the system process a queue to delete that image from the external storage server. It is impossible that by deleting the image you still get the database row intact. The only possible explanation is that something went wrong.

If you want me to debug that thing, open a new topic and give me extended details about the issue. Here is the guide: https://chevereto.com/community/threads/first-time-requesting-support-read-this.7552/

Cheers.
