commentics.org integration

As i'm in no way willing to use Disqus or Facebook for commenting, i would give the comment system of commentics.org a try, as it could be self-hosted and seems to be easy to set up. I installed it to my host and added the lines mentioned in the commentics-docs to my chevereto setup:

In the page output this result in just these lines added to the page in html comment tags:

Do i miss something or is adding a comment script by including php code not supported?

Thank you for pointing me to the right doc, i missed that one.

I guess with custom hooks and overrides i can achieve everything i need at the moment.
