Cloudflare

I installed Cloudflare (free, to test it), now the upload progress doesn't quite seem accurate as it finishes straight away for a 2.1MB file and it should take around 5 seconds on a slow day.

I have it set to CDN + Basic optimization, JS, CSS is minified and RocketLoader is off so. why is it doing this on Cloudflare?

Also, do they allow image hosting sites? i have had a support worker look at my account and they didn't say anything, also honestly, no bulls**t, will Cloudflare (pro) make Chevereto noticeably faster or would i be better of with raw dns to my server.

I have free version on my http://rapidgrab.net site and it's only speeding it up by half a second or something but you can see the caching). Now using gtmetrix.com when Cloudflare is on, it appears it takes 2-6 seconds to load the sites i have on Cloudflare when to me, they load instantly or 1 second etc, i don't understand..

If someone could test these for and please post what your average download speed is.

http://rapidgrab.net
http://rapidimg.net
http://rapidrl.net (under dev so may change)

Thanks, they are all currently under Cloudflare.

The problem is that CloudFlare should be only used to serve the images and the css files. Not the Javascript or other static content because CF apply very intense cache all over the site. So, you have to add custom rules and disable the extreme cache and things like that. Honestly CloudFlare is good only to serve images. The DDoS protection is a joke.

The DDoS protection is excellent for plans above Pro as they get a good slice of a core.

so should i disable all JS caching?

I have done all those settings now, but the progress bar thing still shoots ahead and says it's uploaded when it is not. I'll wait a while and see if it is updating slowly but at the moment, hasn't worked.

Yes, but why do things like gtmetrix.com say my page load is slower with cloudflare... it seems slightly faster to me.. but.. :|

Can you test the URL's with a regular browser such as chrome and tell me if they are relatively fast?

Which is fastest, which is slowest, if you can. thanks.

http://rapidgrab.net/ and http://rapidrl.net/ load very fast cause are simple html.

http://rapidimg.net/ load slow for me cause must do request to real server (about uploader) and i think that your server is not powerfull to request fast.

Cloudflare is doing his work.

6 cores at 2GHz, shared 1Gbit 200mbps guaranteed, RapidIMG has always been loading slow ever since i installed nginx. I don't understand, it doesn't load slow after you loaded it for the first time so ... i don't know. :D
