Cant Update to latest Version of Chev

hi my host https://www.imgextra.uk for long time i havent been able to update which wasnt really a problem ,but now need latest version as having some issues with api

when i try to update it either freezes does nothing or the odd time i was sucessful made host run really slow so i reverted back ,i spoke to coder i had he said was an issue with database

can i get some help trying to fix this issue thanks
 
Could you elaborate? "Freezes" doesn't tell me that much.
