Hi,

I have a suggestion for the English version of Chevereto.

I think there is some room for improvement in the language used, and there are also loads of places where text should be capitalised and it isn't!

I have the following translation, a work in progress but it would be nice if you were to implement it. If you like it I can further work on it.

P.S. Uploaded as ZIP because this forum does not allow en.po and en.mo file types!

Can you quote a few examples? Just to make sure that is a real thing and not just your own personal preference.

Hi Rodolfo,

My main issues are just with the capitilisation of letters. It looks much neater to have every word capitalised for the buttons and text on the site.

It is very hard to provide examples in this page, because it isn't really that noticeable unless you are browsing the sites. Images do not do the issue justice.

Please do not take offense, I am just trying to help.

Some examples:

Another thing that I think needs improving, is some of the English wording. I fully understand it must be difficult consdering that English is not your native language, but for me, it makes the site look a lot less professional.

For example:

25% queue done is really bad English. It should be as below.

Those capitalization are just a preference of yours. Usually you capitalize the subjects, "Most Viewed" is an example of bad capitalization because "Viewed" is not a subject. The other ones seems to be right, I will change those when I get some spare time.

But those aren't rules made for the web. Those are for publishing and are subject just for styling concerns.

Using your argument then we could say that Twitter.com is wrong?

And 500px does the same thing, even Flickr does the same thing.

Look, is just an styling issue and I won't change it because of that. Maybe the UK English is like that (XenForo I believe is from UK) and in that case I can add an UK-English language file, but I won't overwrite the original one just for this concern.

Rodolfo,

Up to you. I am not trying to be forceful or insulting. Simply voicing my opintion on what works best.

P.S. If you do introduce an English (UK) language. I am more than happy to maintain it.
