API page not working?

It says invalid, API mode is set to private, if i set to public. It simple says Empty source instead of invalid key.

The key is not the default, i changed it in the config.php is there something else i am meant to edit?

You need to use key=YOURKEY if you set the mode to private.Either way, if you don't pass more variables you will always see empty source because you are not indicating the ?upload=
