API option for resizing

In the past with version 1.9 you were able to use /?urlrez= which would allow users to upload while specifying a desired size. When upgrading to 2.0, the only resize parameters I can find are img_width,img_width but those are not user selectable.

Is there any way using API to use user defined resize options?
 
API Docs said:
resize_width

If you set this parameter, the image will be resized with the numeric value of this parameter, i.e.: resize_width=200 will resize the image to 200px width.
