Hi Rod,

My website is now have many porn images uploaded. In my country , this is not allowed. So I suggest to add two features to chevereto:

1/ Auto detect adult image => if adult upload => auto flag as NSFW
2/ Report button to get help from the community to the adult or DCMA photos.

thank you Rod.

The algorithm is not accurate at all. It doesn't detect nudity, it only detects skin tones. For example, try with the images that I've attached. It raises the flag with absolute no nudity or adult pictures.

Yeah, I've also found that these auto detection scripts don't work 'as intended' very well.

I think your best option would be to firstly force users to become members, before they upload. That way, all there uploads will be in one place, and easily manageable for them, and YOU.
Secondly have very clear terms and conditions (including on the upload form) - stating NO PORN.

If someone still abuses the service, just ban the User and IP Address, and delete all their uploaded images (whether or not the rest of their content is SFW or NSFW content!)
Abuse the service, prepare to be DELETED!

It's your service at the end of the day, and if you don't want any hassle with laws etc, then you have to be strict right from the start, otherwise people will start taking the pi$$ 🙂

Main problem is that you can't detect context within an image. But I'm still open to find a good nudity detector.

thanks Rod. But I think that implement this class to detect the context then show a warning to uploader is still a good solution.

Problem is that it will raise a lot of false positives. Anyway, you can try to add it to your own installation.
