Admin login not working

When I attempt to login to the admin portion of my website i type my password and i see the spinning wheel but it never loads.
 
It seems to be a issue with mod_rewrite. Open the Chevereto root .htaccess file and change this:

#RewriteBase /chevereto

To this:
Code: 
RewriteBase /

And btw, you should be using 2.4.1 ;) http://chevereto.com/download
 
worked like a charm! i guess some people have a custom gallery page...I will try and source one...are their benefits to the newer version?
 
Hello.
I had this problem some time ago. I watched this solution and solved my chevereto.

Now, I have upgraded my server and moved my chevereto to the new machine.
And this problem happens again.
I have checked mod_rewrite is on, and .htaccess is like above (RewriteBase /), but still not working.

It doesn't even work with wrong password. It spins the wheel but not loads.

Any idea what may be wrong?

Server: virtual server 1&1
