Here's the dilemma I'm having. I allow adult images to be uploaded to my site, however, I don't want those images to be included in the Explore tab if the user doesn't select the NSFW flag, and regardless if they change the profile option, to display them. So, my suggestion is this:
1. Add an option called Include in Gallery on the upload page. If the option is checked then add it to a Moderation Queue in the admin area. Then if the image is Approved then it's added to the Explore route, otherwise it's not displayed there.
3. Add white listed IPs for the Moderation Queue, so that images uploaded from those IPs automatically get Approved.
4. Add an option in the admin area to show images in the explore route from a specific userid only.
