add text in the footer area

If there is a textbox in the footer area would be great! I can add some text in there. Chinese website must put Record number in the bottom area.

Can you not just edit your theme? It's not difficult to toss in a TINY amount of HTML.
 
I think a custom footer is already in works. Not just messages, we could put Facebook/twitter page links.
 
There is a custom_hook for footer, sadly there isn't a "footer text" option at this time.
