Thumb not being created

I've been uploading images of various sizes to test the script. Everything runs properly until I uploaded an image that was 3 x 1020 pixels.

The thumbnail fails to create. I then uploaded some normal ratio images and the thumb creates just fine, but every time I try the 3 x 1020... no thumbnail. Any idea why this happens?
