Question about external storage when outage occurs

Hello,

I tried to search around but I couldn't find the answer. What will happen if one of the external storage outage?

I plan to set up FTP/SFTP external storage to scale and the image resides on the external storage will stop loading. But what about upload? Will chevereto use local storage instead? Or pick the next available storage? Or will upload just fail?
