Currently, when using the social signup feature a username is automatically assigned from the name of the social account. However, I really don't think many want their names to be the username when signing up. I know that it is possible to change the name afterwards, but this is not a common feature on websites and I don't think people recognize they can.

It seems pretty common on websites to let people chose their own username even when using social signups, at least when usernames are "public" and not just used to sign in.
