This is because in Chevereto, the input field is
Code: 
autocomplete="nickname"
, but requires
Code: 
username
instead. You change it by your own by changing
content/legacy/themes/Peaflow/views/login.php, line 30 - change it to username and you're good 🙂

However, this is not the purpose of the thing, something should be done directly by the developer.
Because otherwise you would have to renew this variable and other changes with every update of the script.
