I just recently upgraded from 3.20, after a successful upgrade, when I check the cron log:

Update: Solved by backing up the app/env.php, removing the public_html folder, unzipping the new installer onto it, and copying app/env.php.

Also restored: /home/site/domains/domain.tld/public_html/content/images
