cant recover password get error

Description of the issue
getting this error trying to recover our password for webmaster@chillies.co.za

SMTP Error: Could not authenticate.SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting

As the error message implies, check if your SMTP credentials are correct, and there are correct dns entries if it is a 3rd party mail handler.
Also check firewall on your server, and see if port is open.
It is not a issue with script, because I have sparkpost setup on my website and it works perfectly fine.
