Are we allowed to create custom plugin/script for Chevereto?

I wanted to ask before I do this. I believe Chevereto does not support plugins at the moment. But can I still create something and edit files etc and package in a .zip to use. Also, would it be an issue if I created something and shared it with the community (and with you as well Rodolfo so you can add it to the next release lol).

Please let me know, wanted to make sure before I create something and share it.
