How to use AdSense in your image hosting website

Hi there, I've notice that a lot of people is saying that you can't use AdSense in image hosting websites which is complete false but you have to have some considerations before.

The AdSense rules
AdSense is most likely the best system to earn money with ads and they also have a pretty long list of forbidden uses. https://www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms but to save you time, some of the forbidden contents are:
  • Porn of any kind
  • Illegal content
  • Dating websites
  • Search engines
  • Sites without content
  • Sites that encourage the hate, racism, etc.
As you may notice ImageShack, imgur, etc. use Google Adsense so you can also use it but you have to forbid the porn or any illegal content and this is exactly what this sites does to be able to use AdSense:

ImageShack TOS
Do not upload anything that can be construed as porn, copyrighted material, harassment, or spam. If you do, we will ban you, delete all your images, and prevent you from viewing any images hosted on the ImageShack Network. You own the content that you upload. Do not use Free ImageShack accounts for any commercial purpose, unless otherwise authorized by Imageshack in writing.

imgur TOS
If someone else might own the copyright to it, donā€™t upload it. Donā€™t upload gore, obscenity, advertising, solicitations, "hate speech" (i.e. demeaning race, gender, age, religious or sexual orientation, etc.), or material that is threatening, harassing, defamatory, or that encourages illegality. Donā€™t hotlink to such content, or to file-sharing or torrent sites. Donā€™t be a troll or a jerk. Don't impersonate someone else. If you do (and we will be the judge), or if you do anything illegal, in addition to any other legal rights we may have, we will ban you along with the site you're hotlinking from, delete all your images, report you to the authorities if necessary, and prevent you from viewing any images hosted on Imgur.com. We mean it.

The simple how-to
If you do this you will be fine:
  • Write (or copy) a TOS page indicating that you don't allow that content and in this TOS add a contact email where copyright owners can send you a DMCA complain to take down infringing images.
  • On sight, remove the porn that people upload... Note that porn is not the same as nudity.
  • On reclamation, remove the copyrighted images.
And that's all... You will be able to use AdSense.
 
The only problem is that you CAN'T be sure if your site is completly okay with their TOS. I mean all know that Google has an easy ban if someone doesn't follow his rules.

I use an account adsense on others my site and i have a good income, i can't create another account of adsense to test on my site of images hosting because double account are not allowed.

So now i must risk to have a ban on my account and lost all the income from others site. I tested like 20 AD program on last year, and all programs are like 10% or less in comparision with the income from Adsense.

I was wandering if i could put the AD banner only on home page and not on all the others (like views, shorturl, etc). But i had always the problem to lost the account.

About imgur and imageshack, remember that google don't care (sometimes close his eyes) when a site has a BIG traffic.
 
I did all those and applied 6 times but rejected.everytime answer is Insufficient content.

That can be solved by adding description to images and the best that you can do now is to put more text in the home page and put the banner only there and in view.php

Exactly is what i'm saying. If you check imageshack he hasn't a lot of content but they have LOT OF traffic.

I repeat, don't risk your account if you are using it for other websites.
 
Any way i tried bidvertiser,adhitz and some other popular advertisers and finally fixed with clicksor.its fine and i got payment also.;)
 
I can test test Adense or other system in the demo to see if it can work and how much it can make, I stop using Adsense years from now and I don't have any fear in loosing my account or something because, like I said, I don't use it. The demo has a lot of traffic so this folks will notice intermediately what I'm doing and I will try to deal with them. What you think?

That's a very good idea. But as i said google sometimes can close your eyes for some period. If you check google forum all say: "Don't see if another project like your are using google adsense, if they are doing something bad a day they will get a ban". This want mean that also if some users use Adsense, it's not a reason that you can use it.

I saw all new chevereto project that put on their site google banner without any theme change. Maybe they don't know (they didn't read TOS for sure) that they will get an easy ban.

However is always a try, tell me when you put them so i can see what you changed.
