cloudflare and tmdhosting https problem

Give cloudflare at least 24h to fully establish your cert. Your config looks good to me. Test again after 21. Oktober 2017, 20:15:00 GMT, it should work then.

hi. i would like to start by saying my domain is https://weshooting.photos
- I just configured and set cloudflare ssl/tls on my tmdhosting.

cloudflare screenshots:

tmdhosting/cpanel screenshot

what am i doing wrong? when i access my website, it says it's uncertain?

Interesting - on my browser the Cloudflare root cert is not trusted... However, I also use cloudflare SSL and it works without issue (different cert)

Cloudflare Origin CA Certificates are only trusted by Cloudflare and therefore should only be used by origin servers that are actively connected to Cloudflare. If at any point you pause or disable Cloudflare, your Origin CA certificate will throw an untrusted certificate error.

At the moment it seems you are not connected to cloudflare, do to a incomplete setup.

You have to change your domain name servers to cloudflare (step 3 in this guide):

It has been over 24 hours now, but still does not work :(

I also do not understand what i've done wrong?
I have followed this guide

nameservers is on cloudflare dns?
https://www.whois.com/whois/weshooting.photos

Looks all good to me. I guess you just have to be patient and wait, till the new DNS Information is propagated. Spreading DNS can be slow sometimes. I just checked the NIC for .photos domains and it still holds the old info:

Code:
Using server whois.nic.photos.

Query string: "weshooting.photos"
[...]
Name Server: dns1.registrar-servers.com
Name Server: dns2.registrar-servers.com
[...]

I suggest to wait another 24h and if it still not works then, to contact your Registrar.

its updated now... but still not working :((

I would advice against this. This would imo degrade the encryption between cloudflare and his server to some extend. Since it seems he has purchased a cert and not using the free ones, he should benefit from that. Either way, the certificate presented to his visitors will always be signed by Comodo anyway.

What I do when it comes to cf and https, is that I use the actual server cert, not CloudFlare. Maybe the cert is not working, I mean naked without CloudFlare.

but why does it state that it expires in 2018? but in cpanel and cloudflare says it will expire in 2032?? :S

That's because these are two different certificates. To put it very simple: Your cert is signed with a different cert (the root-ca) to proof it is valid. Actually, it is more complicated than that, but that would be a much longer story...

If I may give an advice: I saw you set the upload limit to 50MB. Are you sure your server can handle that? I would strongly suggest to rethink that value and/or triple check and actual test, that your server can cope with it.

Have fun!

He has purchased a cert, which is signed with the "Cloudflare Origin CA". These will never work outside cloudflare, because it is not an official CA.
