If you're going to get 100GB bandwidth a day.. DON'T make use of shared/reseller hosting and instead get a dedicated (or at least a virtual private) server...
Well, that site is dead. Why not use a Shared host? The hosting I offer comes with fair use up to 150GB, after that upgrades can be purchased for a few euros....just saying.

Because if you make use of a shared host, you're technically sharing all of the server resources with many of the other sites on the server. If you want to run a image sharing host, you can't do it on 30~80mb internal ram alone (which is most of the time all shared hosting providers give you). Too many restrictions and not enough freedom to edit the php.ini file for example.
You can of course start of with a shared host, but once you keep getting many visitors/a lot of images... you really will need to switch over to VPS/Dedicated
Most shared hosts are totally locked down with no freedom for customers...I allow my customers to use their own php.ini. Also Anony uses nearly zero resources but is a very large site. The servers I run are mostly Xeons with 16GB ram on 1gbit ports.
You are using Apache?
How many hits/s you have if you don't mind me asking?

Those stats are weird to me.
my site urimage.net have from 500k - 1mil. hits daily, and my Apache is using at times over GB of ram.
Private + Shared = RAM used Program
1.5 GiB + 48.5 MiB = 1.5 GiB httpd (127)
